Hayle Surf Life Saving Club will be given free use of Hayle Harbour.
Harbourmaster Mark Capon explained, "We are delighted to assist Hayle Surf Life Saving Club - they are a registered charity and a tremendous asset for Hayle."
Hayle Surf Life Saving Club is run by Dave and Traci Parker alongside Chairman Graham Williams. They have a committed volunteer workforce and the Club offers a variety of essential training courses including lifeguard training and surf awareness classes.
The Harbourmaster met with Cornwall Councillors John Coombe and John Pollard last month, at which time it was suggested that Hayle Harbour Authority might consider formally supporting the activities of the Club.
Cllr John Pollard said, "Hayle Surf Life Saving Club does valuable work on our beaches and I am pleased that Hayle Harbour Authority have decided to support it in this way."
