On 2 May 2008 ING Real Estate submitted an outline planning application for the regeneration of Hayle Harbour. The outline planning application is to gain approval for the principle and framework for development.

Public reaction to the initial plans in two previous exhibitions was very positive, with much support for regeneration of the Harbour, and bringing in new life, activities and jobs to Hayle. Many good ideas and observations came out of the consultations – which have been duly considered and fed into the new proposals.

The enthusiasm for the plans was confirmed by the more extensive public consultation exercise undertaken by Revitalise! Hayle Coast and Country.
Although the plans are more advanced than before, they are not yet fixed which is why an outline planning application has been submitted.
